Robinson scores runner-up finish in Labor Day 55 at Bedford

In a field of 32 Zimmer’s United Late Model Series entries, Robinson secured his spot into the $12,055-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat. Starting in fourth, Ross gained two positions in the 55-lap affair to register a runner-up finish. He trailed Matt Cosner across the line with Alex Ferree, Eddie Carrier Jr., and Michael Norris completing the Top-5 finishers.
With Saturday’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) falling to Mother Nature, Robinson returned with the ULMS on Saturday evening at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.). With a fifth-place finish in his heat race pinning him on the 10th row for the feature, Ross gained six spots to finish 14th. He pocketed $200 for claiming the event’s hard charger award.
Sunday’s LOLMDS event at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, W.Va.) was postponed to September 29th.
