Robinson notches eighth-place finish in Eagle Raceway debut

After a rain-soaked weekend, Ross Robinson rejoined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Monday at Eagle (NE) Raceway for the series debut at the 1/3-mile oval.

Drawing 27 Late Models for the inaugural High Bank Heist, Robinson got off to a slow start in his heat but was able to rally with an 18th-to-8th run in the 40-lap feature.

Following a 14th-place finish in Tuesday’s Kosiski Family 53 on Tuesday at Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa), Ross returned to action on Thursday at Huset’s Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) for the 14th annual Silver Dollar Nationals weekend. With prelims setting the stage for Saturday’s A-Main, Robinson came in 12th in Thursday night’s preliminary before placing 23rd in Friday’s.

Starting the $53,000-to-win Silver Dollar Nationals finale in 19th on Saturday night, Robinson was an early retiree on lap 33 after making contact with the turn-one wall.
