13th-place finish in Rumble by the River prelim
Ross Robinson rejoined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series over the weekend as the tour rolled into Pennsylvania’s Port Royal Speedway for the annual Rumble by the River.
With 45 entries on hand, Robinson followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a runner-up effort in his B-Main, earning him the 19th starting spot in Friday’s 40-lap feature. He advanced six positions to record a 13th-place finish.
Returning on Saturday, Robinson charged from eighth to fourth in his heat race to secure a spot in the $50,000-to-win finale, where he went on to finish 19th in the 50-lap main event.
