Ross Robinson Enjoys Two-Win Labor Day Weekend
Delaware Racer Triumphs at Georgetown and Selinsgrove
GEORGETOWN, Del. (09/01/25) – Fresh off his third Camp Barnes Benefit victory in the past four years, Ross Robinson capped a successful Labor Day weekend with a $10,063 payday in Sunday’s Paul Long Memorial. He piloted his Commonwealth Equipment / Stockley Materials No. 7 DutchStar Motorsports / Rocket Chassis Super Late Model to the win—his second of the season.
While Tuesday’s repeat victory at his home track, Georgetown Speedway, marked a strong start to the week, it was Sunday night’s five-figure triumph at Pennsylvania’s Selinsgrove Speedway that headlined the extended weekend and brought Robinson’s total earnings to $16,390.
“I wasn’t sure if I was going to get (Collins),” Robinson said in Georgetown Speedway’s victory lane. “And then when we had that caution, the top was the place to be but I didn’t take off down the front straightaway good. Luckily I was able to get next to Daniel (Hilsabeck) going into three. After that I got clear from him and I was like, ‘I got to get him before the next caution comes out.’ And he was running really, really hard around that top … I think I just kept hunting him and got him working hard. And he was doing a heck of a job.”
Robinson’s busy Labor Day weekend began with Tuesday’s win at the Delaware oval. He took the lead from Trevor Collins on lap 17 of the feature and held off a last-lap challenge from Carson Ferguson to secure the $5,600 payday. As a post-race bonus, Robinson also won a six-lap dash pitting Late Models against Big-Block Modifieds, earning an additional $727.
After a brief stop at Bedford Speedway on Friday—where he finished 11th in the $12,055-to-win Turk Burket Tribute Labor Day 55—Robinson endured a 10th-place finish in Saturday’s Butch Renninger Memorial at Port Royal Speedway.
But the Delaware driver returned to form on Sunday evening at Pennsylvania’s Selinsgrove Speedway. There, he led all 35 laps of the Paul Long Memorial to pocket a $10,063 winner’s check, finishing ahead of pole-starting Hayes Mattern and Rick Eckert.

Robinson and the DutchStar Motorsports team will take the upcoming weekend off to prepare for the Arthur and Cynthia MacMillan Memorial at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., on Friday, September 12. The $12,000-to-win event is co-sanctioned by the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series and the Bernheisel Racing Components Fall Clash.
