Pair of top-five finishes at Georgetown and Port Royal

Taking part in a doubleheader weekend at a pair of local tracks, Ross Robinson entered his DutchStar Motorsports No. 7 Late Model into battle at Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Del.) on Thursday for the Summer Thunder Twin 25s.

After failing to make the call for his heat race, Robinson took the green in 11th in the A-Main and went onto advance forward nine positions to finish second, which came behind Rick Eckert. His wife Amanda also was competing but was sidelined early in the feature on lap 20.

On Saturday afternoon at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.), Ross followed up the fourth-fastest qualifying lap in his group with a runner-up run in his heat. Starting the $4,000-to-win A-Main in fourth, Robinson rolled to a fourth-place finish in the 25-lap affair. He chased Trever Feathers, Gregg Satterlee, and Bryan Bernheisel to the checkers with Rick Eckert coming in fifth.
