Robinson visits Illinois for Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series doubleheader

Venturing to the Land of Lincoln for a rain-shortened trip, Ross Robinson was one of 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries amassed at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday evening for the Farmer City 74.

Storming into the opener with a sixth-to-third run in his heat race, Robinson climbed two more positions in the 74-lap feature to place 15th.

For the FALS Spring Shootout on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Ross was forced to use a provisional into the $30,000-to-win weekend finale after getting buried in time trials. Pinned on the 14th row, Robinson reeled in a 23rd-place finish in the 60-lap affair.
