Third-place finish in Port Royal's Appalachian Mountain Speedweek stop
Ross Robinson’s 2024 season rolled on over the weekend as he made starts in Pennsylvania and Maryland for the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek tripleheader.
Following a 12th-place finish in Friday’s opener at Clinton County Motor Speedway (Mill Hall, Pa.), Ross raced into Saturday’s $5,000-to-win AMS event at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) with a heat race win. Taking the green in eighth, Robinson climbed five positions in the 50-lap affair to register a third-place finish. He chased Gregg Satterlee and Hayes Mattern to the checkers.
A broken driveshaft while running fourth in Sunday’s AMS feature at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.) brought an early end to Robinson’s weekend.
