Super Bowl of Racing at GIS opens Robinson's 2025 campaign
Ross Robinson unloaded his DutchStar Motorsports No. 7 Late Model at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Ga.) on Friday evening for the rain-shortened Super Bowl of Racing.
With 44 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on hand for the 2025 season opener, Robinson got off to a slow start in prelims but was able to find his rhythm as the night wore on. After taking a provisional into the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Ross battled his way forward in the 50-lap feature. A spin on lap 46 briefly set him back, but Robinson showed resilience, ultimately finishing 19th.
Inclement weather and an unfavorable forecast forced track and series officials to cancel the final two rounds of the Super Bowl of Racing on Saturday and Sunday.
