Robinson visits Volusia Speedway Park for Sunshine Nationals
With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sitting idle over the weekend, Ross Robinson joined the World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) on Friday for the rain-shortened Sunshine Nationals.
After finishing seventh in his heat, Robinson came close to securing a spot in the feature, advancing from seventh to fourth in the B-Main. However, he ultimately fell just two spots short of making the cut.
On Saturday, Ross backed up the 22nd-fastest time in his qualifying group with a sixth-place outing in his heat. Needing to place second or better in his consolation race to make the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Robinson came one spot short with a third-place finish.
