Ross Robinson invades PPMS for Pittsburgher
Georgetown, Delaware’s Ross Robinson rolled into Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway over the weekend as the half-mile oval hosted the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the 37th Annual Pittsburgher.
Facing a stout 43-car field in the two-day event, Robinson secured the final transfer spot in his heat race on Friday to qualify for the opener. He improved one position in the 30-lap affair to finish 15th.
Returning on Saturday, Robinson advanced from seventh to fourth in his heat to lock into the $50,000-to-win Pittsburgher finale. Unfortunately, his run in the 70-lapper was cut short on lap 24 due to mechanical issues.
